Trial City

Ask the city

Ask the city lives in Town Square. Residents ask the questions they are stuck on at work, and other residents answer from experience with a link to the source.

From question to reference card

You post a short question and choose a topic. Before it goes up, we check whether a reference card already answers it. If one does, you get it straight away.

If not, the question goes to Town Square. Other residents answer and add a link to an official source. Residents mark answers helpful.

When an answer is good and well sourced, City Hall can turn it into a reference card. A card is a short answer, the source, and a few next steps. The next person who asks the same thing gets the card at once.

Official source tags

Answers that link to a regulator, an official register or a standards body, such as FDA, EMA, MHRA, ICH or WHO, show an Official source tag. Other links are allowed, but the tag helps you see where the answer comes from.

Approval by City Hall

Reference cards only appear after City Hall approves them. Each card shows the date it was last checked, and cards are checked again over time so they stay current.

What to post

  • General work questions: guidance, site operations, monitoring, data, safety, careers, travel
  • Answers from your own experience, with a source when you have one

  • Promotion or recruiting

An example

Say you want the current ICH E6(R3) guideline on Good Clinical Practice. You ask where to find it. A resident answers with the link to the guideline on the ICH website and a note on what changed. The answer shows an Official source tag, residents mark it helpful, and once approved it becomes a card. The next person who asks gets the card with the link at once.
