How cities open
Every resident lives in a city. When a city reaches 10 residents, it opens.
The opening order
There is no list we pick from. Cities open in the order they reach 10 residents. The city with the most residents is always the next to open, and the standings below update live.
What opens
Once a city is open, its residents can see who else lives there by display name and function, see who is visiting, and plan to meet. Emails are never shown. Visitors and people from other cities still see only the totals.
Bring your city forward
Your resident card has a personal referral link. Send it to colleagues in your city. Every person who joins through it moves your city closer to opening, and your card counts how many you brought in.
Good places to share it: your team chat, the coordinators at your site, the people you met at the last conference, or the colleague you always see at the same airport gate.
How a city is counted
Your city is the home city you choose when you claim a spot. Different spellings of the same place, such as Washington and Washington, DC, are counted together, so nobody ends up in a city of one by accident.
Trips you add do not move you to another city. They help people in that city see who is visiting, once the city is open.
Visitors and residents
Anyone can see how close each city is to opening. Only residents of an open city see the names and functions of the people who live there. That keeps the city friendly without putting anyone on public display.
