Trial City

Questions and answers

The questions people ask most, with short answers.

Is it free?
Yes. Claiming a spot and using Trial City is free for people who work in clinical research, now and later.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Trial City runs in your browser on a phone or a computer. There is no app to install.
Is there a login?
No. Your spot is remembered on the device you used to claim it. If you change device, ask for a recovery link by email and open it there.
Who can join?
Anyone who works in clinical research or is starting out: site staff, CROs, sponsors, regulators, ethics committees, vendors and students.
Is it only for CRAs?
No. CRAs are one of many functions. Coordinators, nurses, investigators, data, safety, regulatory, quality, medical affairs and many more each have a building.
Can my company advertise?
Yes. Billboards, buildings, Harbor plots and Poster Bay tiles are available. See the advertise page and send a request.
Is my email shown?
Never. Your email is used to contact you about your spot and is never shown on the site or given to advertisers.
Can I delete my spot?
Yes. Write to us and we delete your information within 30 days.
Why a city?
Clinical research is a lot of travel and a lot of time alone. The industry has forums, but no place. A city gives everyone a building, a neighbourhood and a reason to meet.
Who runs it?
Trial City is a Kirabi product, operated by YANA Careers, LLC.
Is this a game?
No. The map is a friendly way to find people and answers. There are no points to collect and nothing to buy.
What happens at 10 residents?
When 10 residents claim a spot in the same city, that city opens. Residents there can see who else is in town and meet up.
