How it works
Joining Trial City takes about a minute. There is no password and no app. Here is what happens, step by step.
Claim a spot in 1 minute
Tap Claim your spot and tell us four things: a display name, your function, where you work and your city. Add your email so we can reach you about your spot. You can also add your next trips if you want to meet people on the road.
Your founding resident number
Every resident gets a number in the order they joined. The first residents are founding residents, and the number stays with you.
Your card and referral link
After you claim, you get a resident card with your number, function and city. It has a personal link you can share. When colleagues join through it, your city fills up faster and the card shows how many you brought in.
How cities open
Each city opens when 10 residents claim a spot there. Until then you see a progress bar. When it opens, residents of that city can see who else lives there by name and function, and plan to meet. Visitors only ever see totals.
What we collect
- Display name, function, where you work, city and country
- Email address, kept private
- How often you travel and, if you add them, your next trips
- Your votes, questions and answers
- Connection details to stop spam
What we never collect
- Patient or participant data.
- Study, sponsor or site details.
- Passwords.
- Your employer's name, unless you write it.
- Advertising trackers.
No login, and the recovery link
Your spot is remembered on the device you used to claim it. If you switch phones or clear your browser, ask for a recovery link with the email you used. We send a one time link that works for one hour. Open it on the new device and your spot is back.
