The quarters

The city is grouped into six quarters, each for one part of the industry. Tap a quarter chip on the map to fly there. Below are the quarters and the buildings in them, followed by the shared places everyone uses.

Site Quarter

For: Site or clinic

  • Site 204. The study site. Visits, consent, source documents and a phone that never stops.
  • The Clinic. Investigators and research nurses. Oversight, patient visits, safety calls and the signature that matters.
  • Home Visit Hub. Decentralized trials and direct to patient services. The study that goes to the living room.

CRO Quarter

For: CRO

  • Terminal C. Monitors on the move. Delays, site visits and reports due by Friday.
  • Project Tower. Timelines, budgets and vendors. The people who run the study.
  • Data Works. Queries, cleaning and database lock, in the shadow of Query Mountain.

Functions here: CRA or monitor, Project or trial manager, Data management or biostatistics

Sponsor Quarter

For: Sponsor (pharma, biotech, device)

  • Reg House. Submissions, ethics committees and the binder nobody else wants to own.
  • Safety Watch. Drug safety, pharmacovigilance and medical monitoring. The cases that cannot wait until Monday.
  • The Exchange. Medical science liaisons and medical affairs. Science in, insight out, and a lot of miles in between.

Government and Ethics Quarter

For: Government or regulator, Ethics committee or IRB, Academic or nonprofit

  • City Hall. For regulators and inspectors, ethics committees and IRBs, and public research institutes. This quarter carries no advertising and no sponsored tables.

Vendor and Tech Quarter

For: Vendor or technology

  • Central Lab. Samples, kits and shipments. This building is still going up.
  • Company Row. Sites, CROs, sponsors, labs and vendors. Claim a building for yours.
  • Harbor District.

City Centre

For: Independent or consultant, Student or new to research

  • Town Square. Ask what you are stuck on, answer from experience, and vote or counter. One opinion is never the only voice.
  • Welcome Center. Trained abroad, changing careers, or just curious? See what clinical research is, who does what, and where you fit.
  • Events Hall. Every clinical research conference, course and meetup on one calendar.
  • Passport Office. When you want proof of what you can do, take a verified assessment. Until then, just explore.
  • Careers Corner. Roles from the companies on this map, sorted by the work you do.
  • World Gate. Fly anywhere. See who is here and ask how research is done there.
