Inside Home Visit Hub
Last reviewed October 15, 2026
What this team does
Takes study visits to the patient's home instead of making the patient travel.
Sends nurses, couriers, apps and devices so a visit can happen on the sofa.
Makes sure a visit at home counts the same as one at the site.
A day here
- 7:00Load the car. Kit, centrifuge, cool box, laptop, and the patient's address twice.
- 9:30First home visit. The patient's dog wants to help with the blood draw.
- 11:00The courier for the samples is an hour late. You keep the box cold and keep calling.
- 13:00Write up the visit while it is fresh. The site needs it in their source today.
- 15:30A patient's app stopped sending diary data. You talk her through a reset on the phone.

Common moves in and out
Home health nurses, research nurses and coordinators move in first.
