EMA recommends authorisation of Rasonque for metastatic pancreatic cancer

EMA reports that its human medicines committee recommended EU authorisation of Rasonque for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma after at least one previous treatment. EMA says a phased review shortened assessment to less than 150 days; the recommendation now goes to the European Commission for a decision.

Why it matters: EMA reports that phased review allowed assessment of clinical, non-clinical and quality data as the company submitted them.
