PI life: the delegation question

A research nurse asks to take on consent discussions with participants. You trust their clinical experience and know the team needs more flexibility. As the principal investigator, the physician responsible for the study at your site, you still have to consider the study plan, the ethics committee's expectations and local requirements. The delegation log records who is allowed to do which tasks. Training records are in another folder. Your next monitoring visit is soon, but the decision needs to work for participants every day.
