The Passport Office

Practice is free and unlimited. Try a self-check whenever you like, as often as you like.

The one paid thing is a human-reviewed assessment, for when you want proof of what you can do.

A Passport is yours and private. Nobody sees it unless you choose to share it.

Free self-check

Ten decisions from a normal working week, one per domain. You see feedback after every choice. This is practice, not an assessment.

The standard behind it

Every self-check and every assessment here is written against one published, open standard.

The ten domains

Each domain has two competencies. Open one to see what it looks like on a normal working day.

Performance levels

P0Not demonstratedEvidence is missing, materially incorrect, unsafe or insufficient.
P1Guided applicationCan perform defined work with prompts or supervision.
P2Independent performancePerforms routine role work accurately, documents it, identifies exceptions and escalates without prompting.
P3Adaptive performanceIntegrates multiple evidence sources, manages ambiguity and competing risks, and produces a defensible result under realistic constraints.

Levels are never converted into years of experience, seniority, salary or practice rights.

Evidence assurance

LevelNameWhat it takes
EAL0Reported exposure or claimSelf-report, attendance or a resume claim.
EAL1Knowledge demonstratedA scored knowledge task.
EAL2Performance demonstratedA work sample or simulation scored against a versioned rubric, with verification incomplete.
EAL3Performance verifiedA standardized task, a versioned rubric, preserved evidence, a qualified human final decision and an appeal path.
EAL4Sustained verified practiceEAL3 plus governed longitudinal evidence.
  • Self-report is always EAL0.
  • A structured assessment normally produces no more than EAL2.
  • Verified status needs a human decision.

Kinds of evidence: Knowledge, Decision, Work product, System interaction, Communication, Longitudinal.

Critical rules. Any one of these prevents verified status, whatever the score.

  • Proceeding without valid consent
  • Enrolling with unresolved eligibility
  • Failing to escalate urgent safety information
  • Fabricating, concealing or backdating source
  • Obscuring an audit trail
  • Sharing real participant information
  • Directing activity outside role authority

What verified means and does not mean

Verified means a qualified person reviewed your work on a standard task against a versioned rubric, and the evidence is kept.

  • It is not a license.
  • It is not a certification.
  • It is not a hiring decision.
  • It is not a ranking.

Your Passport, your call

  • Private by default.
  • Shared only when you choose to share it.
  • Every share is time-limited and you can revoke it.
  • Checked again on every view.
  • Never indexed by search engines.

When it opens

The Passport Office opens in November 2026 for residents. The free self-check is open now.

Who reviews

Each assessment is scored by a qualified reviewer who has done the work themselves, against the rubric for that role. Reviewers never see your name or your company. A second reviewer looks at any result near a boundary, and you can appeal a decision.

Price

  • Human-reviewed assessment for CRC and CRA roles: $249 per role.
  • Retake: $197.
  • You have 14 days to complete it once you start.
  • We confirm your identity before a result is released.
  • A verified result is valid for 24 months.
  • Practice and the self-check stay free.
